Sie bildet die Grundlage für das Horizon Europe Programm und wird bereits erfolgreich von Städten wie London, Barcelona, Manchester oder Stockholm eingesetzt. Mission Oriented Innovation Policy (MOIP) ist eine Methode, die Innovation im öffentlichen Sektor von Grund auf neu denkt. Dabei gehen neben England auch die skandinavischen Staaten voran- die staatlich-schwedische Innovationsagentur Vinnova beispielsweise zählt zu den Vorreitern von MOIP und hat bereits einige Projekte auf Landesebene umgesetzt. Der Ansatz der MOIP ist zielgerichtet und lässt sich für das ganze Spektrum von Innovationen nutzen - ob sozialer oder technologischer Art.
Nadim Choucair, Maximilian Maraucher und Kurt Klusch sind Experten für strategische Innovation und kennen sich mit dem MOI-Ansatz bestens aus. In diesem Workshop stellen sie diese Methode Beamten des öffentlichen Sektors vor und bieten den Workshop-Teilnehmern einen prägnanten Ansatz, um diese Methodik in ihre Arbeit einzubringen.

<aside> 🇬🇧 Mission Oriented Innovation (MOI) is a term coined at University College London (UCL) Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) under the leadership of Prof. Marianna Mazzucato. It forms the basis for the Horizon Europe program and is already being used successfully by cities such as London, Barcelona, Manchester and Stockholm. Mission Oriented Innovation Policy (MOIP) is a method that rethinks innovation in the public sector from the ground up. In addition to England, the Scandinavian countries are also leading the way - the Swedish state innovation agency Vinnova, for example, is one of the pioneers of MOIP and has already implemented a number of projects at state level. The MOIP approach is targeted and can be used for the entire spectrum of innovations to address the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda, spanning social and technological innovations.
